These great apes are native to the islands of Borneo and Sumatra. At Woodland Park Zoo, a pair of Sumatran orangutans, Godek (male) and Batu (female) can be seen together. The zoo is also home to siblings Heran (male) and Belawan (female). Woodland Park Zoo partners with HUTAN and Gunung Palung Orangutan Conservation Program in Borneo to protect and restore forests for these critically endangered apes.
