Have you ever heard of a coati (pronounced ko-WAH-tee)? These cute creatures, closely related to raccoons, are normally found in tropical and subtropical broadleaf forests ranging from Arizona down through Central America and the very top of South America. Woodland Park Zoo is home to three coatis! Two can be found in the zoo’s Tropical Rain Forest building. The third is one of the newest members of our ambassador animals but has yet to make his public debut.
