Pretty as a pink rose, it’s easy to see why the galah cockatoo is also known as the rose-breasted cockatoo. And, speaking of roses, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Woodland Park Rose Garden, a glorious setting of 2½ acres of rose displays. The Rose Garden is next to the zoo’s Hippo Lot and is open 365 days of the year and is free admission to all! So, don’t forget to stop and smell the roses!
